Dr. Christopher Akolo, MD, MSc, FWACP, is an internal medicine/infectious disease specialist with over 27 years of clinical experience, including over 21 years’ experience with implementation of HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs in resource limited settings and provision of HIV services to key populations, especially men who have sex with men and female sex workers. He is currently a Technical Director under the FHI 360-led Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, funded by PEPFAR/USAID and is based in Washington, DC. Chris leads a team of technical experts and specialists that are implementing the program across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He holds a medical degree and a MSc in Global Health Science from Oxford University, UK.
