Rafael Contreras Gomez
Rafael Contreras Gomez is a Research Associate with the Research and Evaluation (R&E) Department in the Global Education, Employment and Engagement business unit at FHI 360. He serves as a data analyst for education in emergencies, early grade reading, and civil society programs. In this role, Rafael supports statistical analysis, tool development, and data management for various research activities. He is passionate about data-driven work at the intersection of his two main areas of interest: forced migration and education.
Prior to joining FHI 360, Rafael supported operations and research at the Inter-American Development Bank, Twaweza East Africa, and the IRC. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Middle East Studies from Brown University and a Master of Public Policy from the McCourt School at Georgetown University.
