Emily Evens is a Scientist in the Health Services Research division at FHI 360. Trained as a health demographer, she has 16 years of international experience in the design and implementation of health research and program management.

Evens has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies including operations research, implementation science and applying research results to improve health programs in low and middle income countries. She also has experience working with national and regional governments and stakeholders and providing technical and administrative assistance to health and development programs. Her research interests include: HIV prevention innovations, quality of health care services and maternal health. Evens has worked in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Evens has a PhD and an MPH in Maternal and Child Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
