Jen Deese

Former Epidemiologist

Jen Deese was an Epidemiologist in the Contraceptive Technology and Innovation Department (CTID) at FHI 360. She has more than fifteen years of experience managing and designing international clinical research studies, including five phase-3 trials of biomedical interventions for HIV prevention among women.

Her expertise is in (1) hormonal contraception, (2) female genital tract immunity as it relates to HIV acquisition, (3) biomedical HIV prevention, and (4) research design.

Deese has a PhD in Epidemiology with a concentration in infectious disease, and an MPH in Maternal and Child Health — both from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
