Eunice Okumu

Former Research Associate

Eunice Okumu is a former Research Associate in the Behavioral, Epidemiological & Clinical Sciences division for Global Health, Population and Nutrition at FHI 360. She joined FHI 360 in 2012, and has more than a decade of international experience providing support on a range of domestic and international multidisciplinary research studies in the form of project management, study coordination, data management, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, ethics review management, and peer-reviewed publications. She also has experience working with domestic and international stakeholders.

Okumu has experience conducting research in Africa (Kenya, South Africa and Uganda) and the United States. She started her career at Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), working on NIH-funded malaria projects, and later worked on CDC-funded HIV prevention projects. Okumu’s research interests include: HIV prevention and treatment, family planning, community-based participatory research, and health communication.

Okumu has a Bachelors (B.A.) degree in Sociology from Moi University in Kenya, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of New England.
